The sales of luggage and bags in domestic market are much better for the first half of this year. The orders are large enough for whole year production, said responsible person of tianshang luggage and bags manufacturer in Baigou city of Hebei province, Baigou is a city known for production in China.

Ma Junchao, director of the Industry and Information Office of Baigou City Economic and Social Development Bureau, said thereare more than 1,200 enterprises and 10,000 individual processing households producing luggage and bags in Baigou city, with production capacity of 800 million pieces of luggage and bags annually. The products made in Baigou city are exported to 174 countries and regions in Europe, America, Africa, and Southeast Asia and so on. In the first half of 2022, the industry saw revenue of 7.376 billion yuan, up 9.13 percent year-on-year.

Varieties of measures are taken to boost theluggage and bagsindustry development in Baigou city, for instance, the industry willfurther improve the luggage industry chain, and upgrade design, new materials and technologies, so as to increase the added value of their products, said Mr Ma.
