Brazil will be represented by a great number of tanneries with outstanding quality products during the All China Leather Exhibition (ACLE) - occurring now, from 4th to 6th September in Shanghai. Through the Brazilian Leather Project, an initiative developed by the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB) with Apex-Brazil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), 21 Brazilian companies have confirmed their participation in the premier event for international companies related to the leather sector.

Brazil has been consolidating its participation in the Asian show: comparing to the 2012 edition, five more companies are taking part in the 2013 event. This considerable growth is a reflection of the efforts in exports promotion being developed by CICB and Apex-Brazil. In the first half of this year Brazilian leather exports reached a surplus of US$1.180 billion.

Leather Preview

The Leather Preview Project is one of the attractions of ACLE 2013. The exhibition brings together hides and skins specially developed for the Spring 2015 fashion trend predictions. The Leather Preview has been presenting to designers, buyers and entrepreneurs, material tendencies and creation works which are due to start soon. The project has been showing to be a very successful initiative, generating relevant results, including new businesses and contacts prospecting for its participants
