From January to August 2022, the total export of leather products in China worth US $70.53 billion, up 27.6% year on year, accounting for 2.97% of the total national export; meanwhile the total import value in china leather industry was US $11.91 billion, down 9.6% year on year, accounting for 0.66% of the country's total import value.
On the same period the trade surplus of import and export in leather industry reached 58.61 billion U.S. dollars, up 39.2 percent year on year, accounting for 10.46 percent of the total national trade surplus of import and export.
