According to Xtep International financial report released on March 16, 2022, its sales revenue of 2021 has broken through 10 billion Yuan for the first time, to 10.013 billion yuan. Xtep's main brand saw strong growth on revenue, setting a record of 8.841 billion yuan, up 24.5% year on year, and net profit reached 908 million yuan, up 77.1 percent year on year. Due to strong growth of revenue, its share price rose 22.55% to close at HK $10 on March 16.
Xtep has won popularity on Chinese young consumers by its brand value and putting Chinese cultural into its products. According to the company’s strategy, Xtep plans to achieve revenue of 20 billion yuan for its main brands in the next five years, with a compound annual growth rate of 23%. For its new brands they will reach 4 billion yuan, with more than 30% of CAGR.
In June last year, Xtep and Hillhouse became strategic partners. Hillhouse invested HK $1 billion in Xtep to develop the global business of the "Gasway" and "Paladin" brands.
